Laughs are guaranteed when Tim Conway gets globbered by a houseplant (VIDEO)

While many of us struggle with keeping our houseplants alive, some are blessed with a green thumb. Unfortunately, that was more a curse than a blessing in this laugh-out-loud sketch.

This comedy skit appeared in the classic nighttime television show, The Carol Burnett Show. Debuting in 1967, The Carol Burnett Show offered a series of live sketches. Each one was full of improvisation and hilarity.

If you needed a laugh, this show was the go-to entertainment. This goofy scene starring Tim Conway and Carol Burnett will have even the sourest faces grinning by the end.

The stage for this sketch was a plant shop. Inside, an exhausted Tim encounters an eclectic plant shop owner, Carol. When Carol stepped into the room, we knew we were in for some hijinks.

The shopowner’s behavior was strange. Carol was curt and clipped with Tim, but when she spoke to her plants, she was doting and loving. She talked to her plant the way many of us speak to our fur babies.

But this sketch had more to it than an oddball shopkeeper. The straight-laced Tim insisted that his oversized plant hated him. Shortly afterward, we saw how the feelings of this plant manifested. If you have seen Little Shop of Horrors, you might have a guess where this story is going.
