Kind Cashier Left Register And Bought A Rose For A Grandma After Finding Out It Was Her 90th Birthday

After learning that it was a woman’s 90th birthday, a kind cashier purchased and gave her a rose.

While shopping with her Granddaughter, Jeannettea Hollingshead‎, for her 90th birthday cake, a sweet Grandma ended up with a birthday present from a stranger.

Today was Gramma’s 90th birthday,” Jeannettea shared in a post online. “I was in the Athens, Ohio, store this afternoon buying a cake for her and talking with the friendly cashier. He asked about the cake, and when I told him about Gramma, he exclaimed, ‘Wait right here just a minute please!’ and walked away.

The kind cashier left his register, went to the flower stand and bought the elderly woman a rose for her 90th birthday.

He came back a minute later with a rose he’d purchased at the flower stand and asked me to give it to her to help her celebrate.

Jeannettea asked the cashier, Wes, if he could give her the rose himself, and he happily agreed.

Instead I asked him to give it to her because she was there with me, and I snapped this picture! The young man, Wes, went above and beyond, and his act of kindness really made Gramma’s day. I hope this message gets to you, and I hope someone at corporate recognizes him for this! It was just too sweet.

Small acts of kindness and thoughtfulness can often mean so much.

If you see an opportunity to share some kindness this week with a stranger, consider giving it a try, no matter how small it may seem to be. Even the smallest kind gesture can leave a lasting memory in someone’s heart.
