Hilarious elevator sketch on The Carol Burnett Show with an unexpected twist

The Carol Burnett Show was one of the leading variety-comedy shows during the 1960s and the 1970s. This family entertainer aired on CBS every Saturday night and entertained families for decades. It is still considered one of the finest shows in television history. It has cemented its place as one of the finest classic shows ever created.

Carol Burnett has the best actors performing with her. The show’s regular cast includes Harvey Korman, Tim Conway, Lyle Waggoner, & Vicki Lawrence. One of the video clips from the episode “Stuck in an elevator” has been liked by several online fans.

The show is known for its hilarious skits, and this is one of the finest works the team has done in such a limited space. The stage is made to look like an elevator. Burnett plays the part of Doris, the elevator operator, and Korman plays the race driver. On the other hand, Lawrence plays Marcia, the wife, and Waggoner plays the husband.

A few guests also acted in the skit, such as Vincent Price, who played the part of the drunk. While Eydie Gormé enacted the role of the flower lady & Inga Neilsen played the stunning blonde.

Doris & her six passengers, the drunk, the flower lady, the stunning blonde woman, Marcia, Charles, & the race car driver, are stuck in the skyscraper’s elevator. There is a state of panic, which leads to the comic situation. The sketch is funny and creative, showing all the actors’ talent.

Everybody stuck in the elevator tries and get to know each other. Korman enacts the car accident scene to the rest of Charles & Marcia quarrel with one another. Everyone made the audience laugh hysterically. However, Price is the one who steals the show in the end, as Doris finds out that the drunk man is her father.

Several fans posted messages for their beloved stars. One person wrote, “I miss these people so much. Carol, Harvey, Lyle, and Vicky. And Vincent Price was great at comedy! Those were the good ol’ days for sure!”
