Billionaire Buys 90 Apartments For The Poor Instead Of Spending $11 Million On Daughter’s Wedding

We’ve all daydreamed of what life would be like if we were billionaires. If we had all of that money, many of us have asked ourselves if we would spend it on the people we love, or use it to improve the lives of complete strangers. Now, a story is going viral in which a billionaire asks himself this same question and comes up with an answer that has surprised many.

Ajay Munot is a billionaire from India who had set aside $11 million to pay for the wedding of his daughter, Sheyra Munot, after she became engaged. While this seems like quite a lot of money, it is really nothing to someone as wealthy as Ajay.

Suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere, Ajay decided that he would donate all of this $11 million rather than using it to pay for his daughter’s nuptials.

Desperate to help the homeless population in India, Ajay used the money to build ninety homes by the time Sheyra’s wedding rolled around, and eighteen more are being built at the time of this writing. Nobody knows why Ajay decided to do this, but people all over the world are praising him for this move.

Many have wondered if Ajay’s decision upset Sheyra, but she was actually happy and grateful to her father for what he was doing. On the day of her wedding, the Munot family officially opened the ninety homes and handed the keys over to the families who would live there.

Sheyra also still was able to have a very nice wedding with some of the $11 million that was left over after the homes were built. It is believed that the project cost $3 million, so there was still around $8 million left over for her wedding. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t scoff at an $8 million wedding!

We applaud Ajay for making this move to help change the lives of the local homeless population. We could all learn a lot from him!
